Elderly patients were ‘inspiration’ for care job grandmother Shirley EvansBy admin I 0 comment
FOR more than three decades, care worker Shirley Evans has been a friend, nurse, supporter and carer to thousands of elderly people in Surrey.
But as she pulled the screens round her NHS career last night, the grandmother told how they had, in turn, been a constant inspiration to her.
The widow and mother-of-two trained as a dental nurse before changing direction in 1977 and starting at Surrey.
A few years later she moved to the City General elderly care job wards until the mid-1990s, when she joined the community out-of-hours team, bringing care jobs Surrey into people’s own homes.
